Raju XI to tour U.A.E
Raju's XI from Hyderabad, India, comprising of boys of under 14 years will
be embarking on a short tour of the United Arab Emirates to play a series of
matches against the junior side home teams in early October.
They will play their first match against the young lads of Emirates English
Speaking School while Emirates Cricket Coaching Centre will be their next
opponent next with whom they are scheduled to play two matches. All the
matches will be held at DCC 3.
The touring side is likely to encounter stiff resistance from the ECCC boys
who themselves are doing rather well particularly after their recent second
successful UK tour and the tourists have to play to their full potential to
stand a good chance against the strong home teams in alien conditions.
This tour will undoubtedly be a big boost to the confidence of both the
young teams who are sure to gain invaluable experience from their brief
encounter. The new Coach of ECCC, Tauseef Ahmad, the former Pakistan
International who has taken over the reins recently will get his first
opportunity to look at the local lads in live match situations.
