Faraz's 5-wkt haul lifts Seven Seas
Faraz captured five wickets for only 16 runs as Seven Seas
defeated DCC Starlets by a convincing margin of 72 runs in
the inaugural match of the Quickline Cup 2000 organised
by Dubai Cricket Council.
The Seven Seas batting disintegrated due to some
fierce bowling from the young Starlets as they managed a
paltry 123. However, the 48 extras and another 20 penalty
runs for slow over rate proved to be the turning point of the
match as the Seven Seate Strikers ended up with 191 for 7.
It was then that Faraz, who took over as he put up a commend able bowling
performance to bag five wickets for 16 runs off his six overs.
