Malaysian National Team arrives

The Malaysian National Cricket Team will be playing a series of friendly matches against Dubai and Sharjah Cricket Council Invitation XI.

The Malaysian Team is here on an acclamatisation tour of the Emirates that will help them get ready for the ACC Trophy, which is to be held from 15th November in the UAE.

Eight teams comprising of Hong Kong, Singapore, Nepal, Malaysia, Japan, Maldives, Kuwait and the hosts UAE will participate in the ACC Trophy. The league matches will be played in the Sharjah Stadium, DCC 1 and 2 while the semi-finals and the finals will be held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

The Malaysian Cricket Council will take on Dubai Cricket Council Invitation XI today and on Monday, 9th October at DCC 1 from 9.30 AM onwards while they meet Sharjah Cricket Council Select XI on Saturday, 7th October and 10th October, 2000.

Mohammad Lokhandwala who has years of experience in the UAE senior league from Air India will lead the DCC side. His deputy will be the UAE captain, Saeed Al Saffar. The Sharjah Cricket Council will be led by Waleed Bukhatir.
