Al Masaood down Protech

Mohammed Irfan stroked an unbeaten century, as Al Masaood Nissan hammered Protech C.C. by seven wickets in the first match.

Protech, batting first, were bowled out for 182. HyderAli (63) and Madhu Menon (24) were their main scorers. Rizwan Shah an3 Waheed Butt took two wickets each to dismiss Protech for a modest score.

Man of the Match Irfan played a gem of an innings hitting a 70-ball unbeaten 135 studded with 14 fours and 11 sixes, and almost single handedly took the score to 183 for 3 in 19 overs. He was ably supported by Nadeem Butt (23).

UNB 'B' win over Pak XI

Meanwhile, Mohammed Aslam (136) scored a brilliant century and there after captured 2 wickets for 24 runs to steer his team, UNB 'B' to a 131-run win over Pak XI in another encounter.

A 55-run opening stand between openers Aslam and Khalid (25) laid the foundation which was further consolidated by the second wicket partnership between Shezad (54) as the total soared to 135. With valuable contributions from Munir (31) and Khalid (16 n.o.) their total swelled to 275 in 25 overs.

In reply, Pak XI could muster only 144. Obaid (30) Ghafoor (30) and Saleem (25) were their main run getters.

Punjab Gentlemen thrash Al Shaab

Abid Rafiq hit an attractive 124 to give Punjab Gentlemen a 111 run win over Al Shaab in the third match of the day. Batting first, Punjab Gentlemen amassed 321 with Naeem (89), Imtiaz (38) and Javed (28) being their scorers. Riaz bowled well to claim three wickets.

In reply, Shehzad remained unbeaten on 103, only to see the other batsmen cave in under pressure to be bowled out for 210.

Omer Farooq shines for Abu Dhabi Gymkhana

Omer Farooq stroked the fifth century (135) and Mahmood snapped up 5 wickets as Abu DhabiD Gymkhana downed ADCO for 123.

In other matches, ADDF thrashed Cavaliers by eight wickets, Bin Jamal Cars got the better of Arab Udupi by eight wickets and Hyderabad too gained an easy nine wicket victory over Masters C.C.
