Batsmen reign supreme

Nadeem blasted an unbeaten 154 of only 87 balls as Mexx Jashanmal smashed past Al Gurair City by 68 runs.

The second century maker of the day was Pak Expats C.C's Shafqat, who hit 131 in his team's 54 run victory over Al Wasl C.C. Shaji was the third centurion of the day with 121 as Trichur C.C. got the better of Kerala C.C. by 9 wickets.

Nadeem hammers ton as Mexx triumphs

Nadeem's ton dominated proceedings as Mexx reached a massive total of 278 for 3. Nadeem's knock included 1 six and 19 fours, while Kenneth 52 and Shakeel 28 were the other run getters as Mexx set an imposing target before Al Gurair City. Al Ghurair got after the target with Noman unlucky to miss out on his century, ending at 92. Mumtaz supported him well with a solid 60 but Al Ghurair folded up for 210 for the loss of 9 wickets.

Shafqats excels for Pak Expats

It was Shafqat's 131 off only 60 deliveries that set the tone for Pak Expats. His knock,included three sixes & 22 fours and Gohar's 65 were major contributors to the 275/9 off 23 overs. Al Wasl started well with Nasir hitting a quick half century and Khursheed Alam staying unbeaten on 54 as they reached 220 for 4.

Shaji slams a century

Chasing 203, Shaji's 121 helped Trichur defeat Kerala by nine wickets. Kerala were all out for 202 in 24.3 overs.

Trichur C.C. reached the target losing only the wicket of Shaji in just 17 overs. Ramesh stayed unbeaten with 56.

Lanka Cubs maul ANTA

In another match, Shehan Fernando put up a fine all round performance to help Lanka Cubs maul ANTA C.C. by six wickets. ANTA C.C. were all out for 190 with Ghulam scoring a half century and Majid (31) and Asif (24) chipping in with useful contributions. Fernando claimed 2-11.

In reply, Fernando was once again to the fore with a solid 54 and Samidon made an unbeaten 44 to lead their team to an easy win.
