Seven Seas flatten Shivaki C.C.

Two centuries, one each by Tuan Fariq of Seven Seas Strikers and Qayyum of Bombay Boys, and a five-wicket haul by Raymond D'Mello of Mangalore C.C. dominated proceedings in the DCC 25-over-a-side tournament, organised by the Dubai Cricket Council.

Tuan smashed an unbeaten 103 off 72 balls with 16 fours to steer his team to a big 95-run victory over Shivaki C.C. Batting first, Seven Seas Strikers amassed 256 for three. Zubair (80 off 55 balls with 11 fours) and Irfan (40 not out off 16 balls with four sixes) were the other major scorers.

In reply, Shivaki C.C. were restricted to 161 for six with Saleem, Tuan and Faraz sharing six wickets. Hemant top scored with 52.

Bombay Boys pip Sony Gulf

In another match, Qayyum hit up 102 off 69 balls with 14 fours and one six as Bombay Boys defeated Sony Gulf by 62 runs. Bombay Boys, batting first, scored 197 for eight and then shot out Sony Gulf for 135 in 18.3 overs. Waheed snapped up four wickets for just 10 runs.

Raymond strikes as Manglore wins

Raymond took five wickets for 20 runs to help Mangalore C.C. beat Al Ghurair C.C. by 71 runs. Mangalore C.C., batting first, scored 233 for six with Sachin (87 off 54 balls with 11 fours) and Madhav (55 off 35 balls with six fours) doing bulk of the scoring.

Al Ghurair City, in reply, were bowled out for 162 in 21.4 overs. Wasim top scored with 82 off 53 balls with 14 fours. Raymond ran through the lower order with a stunning spell.

Classic show by Classic Advertisers

Classic Advertiser piled up the day's highest score when they slammed Shetty Under-19 team for 259 runs. Abdul Wahab (73 off 49 balls with 11 fours) and Shafi Ahmed (52 off 36 balls with seven fours) led the charge.

Shetty Under-19 team, in reply, scored 197 for nine, losing the match by 62 runs.
