Annual Prize Presentation Ceremony
Indian Sports Club stole the limelight in the 'B' Division when they walked
away with the most number of prizes in the 'Annual Prize Distribution
Ceremony' of the Sharjah Cricket Council held at Hotel Holiday
International, Sharjah.
The pride of the place, however, went to New Medical Centre who were
presented the Trophy for winning the prestigious 26th Bukhatir League - 'A'
Division. A glittering Trophy and AED 5000/- in cash was their reward for
their toils. Expats C.C. were the runners up in the event and took home AED
3000/- in cash apart from the Trophy.
Indian Sports Club too got AED 5000/- cash award and a Trophy for winning
the IX Sharjah Floodlit Cricket Tournament while runners up ECB Colts
received AED 3000/- cash prize. Indian Sports Club won two other titles,
the Bukhatir League - 30 overs and 25 overs event while Bin Belaila and
Rothmans Royal Tellichery won a title each.
The awards were presented by Nasir Akram, Secretary General, ECB, Abdul
Razak Kazim, Chief Selector, ECB and Younus Shoukat Ali who is a keen and
prominent supporter of the Sharjah Cricket Council. Also present were
Mazhar Khan, Secretary, Ali Anwar Jafri,Tournament Secretary, Irshad Ahmed
Khan, Zain Ghazali, Shabbir Rokadia, Mansoor Pasha and Ejazur Rahman of the
Sharjah Cricket Council.
