Facing a stiff target of 225 for victory, Lloyds TSB Bank was indebted to opener Kamal Bhagat who won the match almost single-handedly for his team. A swashbuckling century (143 off only 87 balls with as many as 17 fours and 6 sixes) from the inform Kamal who was in a punishing mood took the wind out of the sails of his opponent. He found an able ally in Mashood (32) and put up 96 match winning runs for the fourth wicket as the duo gave no respite to the bowlers. His dismissal almost caused a collapse but the tail managed to scramble through with three wickets in hand in 28.4 overs. Maqsood (2 for 32) and Sanjay (2 for 38) were the successful bowlers.

Earlier, Emirates Bank did well to post 224 for 7 in 30 overs after losing their first two wickets cheaply. Hishan De Silva (41) and Sajid (57) were the saviours for them as they put up 104 runs for the sixth wicket partnership.

Devendar powers ISC to victory

Equally combative was peerless Devendra of Indian Sports who ensured his team's victory over Al Badar C.C. by a wide margin of 120 runs to dash the hopes of his rivals. His 59 ball blitz with 7 fours and 7 sixes won him not only the man of the match award but more importantly took his team to a good total of 250 for 7 in the allotted 30 overs. Equally effective was Sujith who struck a quick-fire 83 off mere 55 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes as the duo joined forces and put up a massive 178 runs for the 3rd wicket that ultimately proved decisive. James Lean (3 for 24) was the most impressive bowler while Kashif Pasha (2 for 43) lent a helping hand.
