DULSCO trounce Westar Shipping

Minnows of the tournament Westar Shipping Services got the taste of the big
league as mighty DULSCO strolled past them by a big margin of 8 wickets in
the ongoing Pass Pass Gold Cup for the Ramadan Floodlit Cricket Tournament
'B' Division. The tournament is sponsored by Baba Global India Limited
and organised by Sharjah Cricket Council.
Westar Shipping Services batted first after winning the toss and put up a
reasonably good total of 161 all out in 30 overs. One-drop Atif was the
main stay of their batting as he held the innings together with a well made
54 off 62 balls with 5 fours. In fact at 100 for 3, they were well placed
for a much bigger total but the rest of the batsmen frittered away the
advantage. Harold (20) was the only other batsman to offer any resistance.
Three crucial run outs did not help their cause either. Jehangir (2 for 25)
got the crucial breakthrough while Sajid (2 for 8) hastened the end.
DULSCO, in reply, raced to the target with consummate ease losing only two
wickets in the process. Skipper Sajid Butt led from the front and hit a
sparkling unbeaten 85 off only 66 balls with 8 fours to ensure a thumping
victory for his team as Azeem (25) provided good support.
