Star, Seven Seas, Bin Belaila roar to victories
Star C.C., Seven Seas and Bin Belaila won their matches convincingly in the on going
Quickline 30-overs cricket tournament organized by Dubai Cricket Council.

Badshah stars in Star C.C. win
Badshah struck an unbeaten 124 from only 80 deliveries to lead Star C.C. to an
emphatic 66-run victory over Truebell C.C.
Electing to bat first, Badshah was in menacing form after Star C.C. had lost both
their openers cheaply. Badshah smashed 13 fours and five sixes during his 80-ball
stay at the wicket.
Iqbal played the perfect foil with a patient unbeaten 52 including sevens hits to
the fence as Star C.C. amassed 219 for 3 in their allotted overs. Gavin
was the only successful bowler with two wickets.
In reply, Truebell never seemed to be in search of a win as they lost wickets at
regular intervals to fold up at 153 in 27 overs. Gavin was once again to the fore with a
gritty 45, while Sajid (38) and Adil (26) came up with some useful contributions.
Badshah picked up two wickets in his one over to walk away with the man of the
match award, while Mohammed Rashid bagged three wickets.

Seven Seas win easily
A solid batting performance from Seven Seas Strikers frontline batsmen, Tuan (39),
Saleem (39) and Zubair (35) helped them over haul Royal Rothmans Tellicherry target of
156 with five wickets in hand. Gopal claimed 2 wickets for Tellicherry.
Earlier, Thameem along with Gopal (32*) hit 79 runs off
just 46 balls with 7 towering sixes and 2 fours to give some respectability to the total
score after they were tottering at 39 for 5. Saleem Khan captured two wickets.

Riyaz, Menik excel for Bin Belaila
Farooq C.C. went down to Bin Belaila by 78 runs as Bin Belaila porduced a
fine all round performance.
Bin Belaila aided by half centuries form Riyaz (54 runs off 39 balls) and Menik
(51 runs off 37 balls) first put up 219 for the loss of 8 wickets in 28 overs and
then stoutly defended to emerge comfortable winners at the end. For Farooq C.C., Shehzad
tried in vain and ran himself out for 50. Susantha and Jude bowled well and returned with
impressive figures of 2 for 13 and 2 for 33 runs respectively.
