A-One, Pakistan Centre notch wins

A-One C.C. and Pakistan Centre C.C. notched convincing wins in last week's action in the Khyber Cricket Trophy organised by the Pakistan Cricket Club, Ras Al Khaimah.

In the first match, Pakistan Centre C.C. scored an emphatic nine-wicket win over Unique C.C.

Batting first, Unique C.C. reached a small total of 158 in their allotted 25 overs with Hussain topscoring with 32. Pakistan Centre C.C. had not much difficulty in getting past the target in the 18th over. Sajjid Afridi was the star of the match smashing a hefty 112 runs with 17 boundaries and three sixes.

In the second game, A-One C.C. got the better of Umm Al Quwain C.C. by 70 runs. Batting first, A-One C.C. scored a healthy 209 for 5 in their 22 overs with Sahib Zada making 80 and Ali Zulfiqar staying unbeaten with 72.

UAQ C.C. could not keep up to the asking rate and lost wickets at regular intervals to be all out for 130. Nasir (25) and Rafiq (23) were their main scorers. Kanwal bagged three wickets, while Saleh took two.
