The Jinnah Cup in in its second week witnessed one century hammered by Amir Bashir of WED in the senior division. But his knock went in vain as WED lost to Khayyam C.C.

Amir's knock in vain

WED managed 198 in the allotted 25 overs, thanks mainly to a sparkling knock of 115 by Amir Bashir. In reply Khayyam C.C. achieved the target for the loss of 2 wickets in the 21st over. Khayyam's C.C. reply was built around Imtiaz (77) and Awad (73*)

Easy win for ISC Blue

ISC Blue handed ACA their first defeat in the tournament. Electing to bat first, ISC Blue rattled up a huge 233 in 30 overs, with Azeem top scoring with 52. Chasing a challenging total, ACA were off to a poor start and were 20 for 3 before Zakir Butt (34) and Taqi (44) consolidated, adding 75 runs for the fourth wicket. A late flourish by Imran Butt (39 n.o.) carried the total to 182, falling short of the total by 51 runs.

Hasan strikes for Pakhtoon C.C.

In another game, Phaktoon C.C. would have expected a tougher game from their young opponents Balouch C.C., but the youngsters caved in to an inspiring spell of seam bowling from Hasan of Pakhtoon with 5 for 26 and Dawood 2 for 27.

Only Niyaz with 66 faced the onslaught admirably but 179 was always going to be a difficult score to defend for the Balouch lads.

Imran (54*) and Tariq (45*) then got together for Pakhtoon to win the match handsomely by 7 wkts.

Maghreb spoil ISC Green's Party

In the fourth encounter of the senior division, ISC Green could do nothing but ruined their chances in the tournament by losing to Maghreb C.C. by 62 runs.

Batting first, Maghrib piled up 240 runs in the alloted 30 overs, despite a good bowling effort by Mohamed (4 for 50) and Shaukat (3 for 44).

The ISC Green chasing a big total succumbed to the pressure and lost wicket at regular stages. The only significant contribution came from Asif (21) and Shaukat (27*). ISC Green were ultimately bowled out for 178.
