Connexions disconnect Lintas to clinch title
Connexions Marketing Communications Consultancy scored a 15-run victory over
Lintas Brand Corn LLC to claim the InSportz Inter Advertising agency indoor cricket
tournament at the InSportz centre.
Batting first, Lintas scored 38 runs, thanks to Manoj (13) and Bharat (10), who were the
only batsmen to offer any resistance to a disciplined attack from Connexions, spearheaded
by captain Gabriel Noronha.
Connexions put the brakes on a Lintas onslaught by taking regular wickets with some
accurate bowling and superb fielding.
Connexions started the runchase in a rather hurried manner and paid the price by
losing quick wickets. However, the Connexions' middle order steadied the ship ensuring
they did not lose any more wickets to reach the target quite comfortably in the end.
