3 A's do it for ECCC

Asif scalped 4 wickets while Amir & Atif hit vital half centuries as powerful Emirates Cricket Coaching Centre continued their winning streak when they disposed off touring Lucknow Cricket Academy with consummate ease by a big margin of 6 wickets.

Electing to bat first after winning the toss, the tourists got off to a good start as openers Sabir (55) and Swarth (13) put up 50 runs for the first wicket. However the introduction of Asif Farid into the attack turned the match on its head as he grabbed 4 wickets for 18 runs to break the back of the rival's batting. Ravi (14) and Munsi Raza (25) offered brief resistance but could not really cope with the tidy bowling from the home team. Asif found able allies in Sandeep Vijan (2 for 25) and Wasim Rahman (2 for 28) who worked in tandem to dismiss the opponents for a small total of 209 all out in 40 overs.

Chasing a modest total of 210 for victory, ECCC got off to a disastrous start as they lost their first wicket with only one on the board. However one drop Amir Hussain (67 with 9 fours and 2 sixes) hammered the bowling in company of opener Ramveer (23) to really up the tempo of the team. His dismissal didn't have much consequence on the game as Sumeet (33) and Atif (50 n.o.) played sensibly to ensure victory for the loss of 4 wickets with quite a few overs to spare.
