Bashir's ton in vain

Omair Bashir impressed once more in this season when he produced a fine all-round performance only to see his team Konkan C.C. losing to Farooq C.C.

Chasing 245 for victory, Bashir played a gem of an innings with an exact 100 runs from mere 48 deliveries to take his team to the brink of an incredible win. The boy from St. Mary's was the cornerstone in his team's gallant run chase as no other batsmen except for Rehan Kazi stood against Farooq C.C.'s bowling. Rehan Kazi chipped in with 39.

Konkan C.C. ultimately managed 237 all out in 24.5 overs, falling short of 7 runs. Asif Saeed captured 4 wickets while Nasir Saleem and Shehzad Ahmed walked away with 2 wickets each.

Earlier, Farooq C.C. scored an imposing total of 244 for 5 in their allotted overs. Opener Arif Hamed notched a brilliant century with the help of 16 fours and a six. His 76-balls stay at the wicket produced 114 runs. He found a perfect foil in Umer Arif, who scored an equally entertaining knock of 74 runs. Bashir was the most successful bowler for Konkan C.C. with two wickets.

Sabir's heroics lift Welfit Kasargod

Sabir struck all-round form for Wellfit Kasargod C.C. to help his team to an emphatic six-wicket win against Grand Slam C.C.

Sabir made an authoritative 82 runs from only 47 balls, including 13 fours and two sixes to put his team on a perfect platform while chasing 203 for victory. Nadeem (32), Saleem (24 not out) and Zakwan (26) were the other contributors to the Wellfit total as they got past the target with almost three overs to spare.

Earlier, Grand Slam C.C. amassed 202 for in their 25 overs with Suresh (38), Sunil Khattar (47) and Rakesh (26) doing the bulk of the scoring. Shabbir claimed 3 wickets, while Nasser took 1.

Azam's blistering knock sink Kerala C.C.

Azam Khan was in a punishing mood and hit a blistering 53 from 36 balls to help Al Futtaim Logistics to a thumping 6 wicket victory over struggling Kerala C.C.

Rauf Qureshi was equally combative as he struck a fun-filled 63 runs. Reliable Shahid Saleem came in and finished off the match with a run a ball 14 as Al Futtaim cruised past a modest the target of 147 with 6 wickets in hand.

Earlier, Kerala C.C aided by a fine knock of 59 from George Thomas reached 147 for 7 in their stipulated 25 overs. Philip George was another player for Kerala C.C. who contributed handsomely with 46. Imtiaz snared 3 wickets while Irfan had 1.
