Wahab, Maxwell leads the way
Wahab lashed 154 to help Classic Advertisers to victory
while Lanka Colts aided by Maxwell's all round display triumphed.
Elsewhere Oman Insurance toppled their opponents in the
DCC League 'B' Division, organised by Cricket Council.
Wahab heads Classic to victory
Abdul Wahab lashed a mighty unbeaten 154 in just 84
balls to help Classic Advertisers to a four-wicket
victory over Ibson CC.
Wahab's 154 runs came from 84 deliveries and contained 25 fours
and one six as the advertising team chased 242 for victory.
With Abrar (42) keeping the other end intact, it was
Wahab's knock that fetched a win for Classic Advertisers
with just three balls to spare.
Earlier, Opener Zaheer Ahmed had scored the second century
of the week with a well-judged 112 runs containing 14 fours to
help Ibson CC to a healthy 241 for 4 in their allotted 25 overs.
Javeed Afreen (46), Hamid Mukhtar (29) and Amir (26n.o.) were
the other contributors.

Maxwell's allround show lifts Lanka Colts
Maxwell (84 runs & 2 for 21) was another player who put in an all-round performance
to help Lanka Colts to a comfortable five-wicket win over Trichur CC.
Batting first, Trichur made 217 for eight with Ramesh (80 off 32 balls, 13
fours and two sixes) and Shaji (57) doing bulk of the scoring.
Lanka Colts, in reply, knocked up the required run in 23.3 overs.
Maxwell single-handedly led the charge with a brilliant 84 runs. Prasanna played the
perfect foil to Maxwell with 59 as the Colts got past the target
with nearly two overs to spare.

Oman Insurance topple Ghurair City
In another match, Oman Insurance comfortably kept up their dominance
over Al Ghurair City, winning the one-sided match by nine wickets.
Al Ghurair City, batting first, were shot out for a paltry 106 with Imran
Butt, Ashwin and MunawarJafrey bowling well and capturing taking 3 wickets
each. Mumtaz top scored with 19.
Oman Insurance, in reply, achieved the target in just 8.3 overs.
Gulzar (61 off 24 balls) and Shafi (33 off 18 balls) remained not out.
