Aslam plays havoc with SCC

ABU DHABI: Abu Dhabi Cricket Council (ADCC) were 25 for one by the close of the opening day's play in the two-day inter-council cricket tournament between ADCC and Sharjah Cricket Council (SCC) at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

Earlier, ADCC in their first innings made 174 for seven in 53.4 overs with Nasir Siddique (62), Saqib Ali (21), Azhar Saeed (35) and Yogesh Mistry (31) doing bulk of the scoring. Rizwan Latif was the most successful bowler who claimed three wickets, while SM Fawad took two.

SCC in their first innings declared at 72 for seven in 21.1 overs and except opener Ryan Chadha (21) no other batsmen could provide any resistance to Mohammed Aslam's brilliant bowling who took six wickets for 28 runs.

This event is part of the inter-regional cricket tournament being organised by the Emirates Cricket Board for the National Bank of Dubai (NBD) Trophy. Dubai is the other team in the tournament and this is the second match after the drawn event between Dubai and Sharjah held last week.
