Amenities Provided to Council Registered Players
The Dubai Cricket Council Season commences in September and close in July.

  • The Special Privilege scheme is especially tailored for players to extend to them incentives of both services and concessional rates available from participating retail business outlets.
  • Personal Insurance cover - Players can enroll themselves in this very carefully designed Insurance Plan, in which, the player is covered for accidental death and/or permanent disability while playing matches in the Council's tournaments, including direct transit from and to the designated playing field.
  • Cricket Information Update - This is an in-house journal distributed free of cost for the benefit of Council's team, players, members and affiliates.
  • www.dubaicricket.org - Full access to the Council's Internet website is available and involves active participation from players to contribute articles and information about themselves at play.
  • Dubai Cricket Council Cricket Round-up aired every Thursday on Radio Asia. The programme, besides reporting both Team and Player performances, also interviews the best players of the week, as selected by the Council.
  • The Council awards cash prizes of Dirhams 11,000 under its programme - Shyam Bhatia Annual Awards, to the best performers of the Season in addition to Dirhams 2,500 to the most accomplished Umpires of the Season.
  • 3 Annual Al Rawabi Academic Scholarships of Dirhams 6,000 each are awarded to the most deserving student players selected by the Council.
  • Coaching Scheme - The Council has adopted training schemes for youngsters at its complex, which offers day and night playing facilities.
  • To meet the International Cricket Council (ICC ) criteria, the Council maintains permanent squad of players between the age group of 14 to 26 years under the banner of Herbal DCC Starlets who are UAE Nationals or those players born in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Umpires Conference and workshop - Under grant-in-aid from Malik Group of Companies and in association with United Cricket board of South Africa anual Umpires Conference is held for Umpires Conference is held for the Umpires,Teams Management and Players conducted by Brian Basson,Director of Umpiring and Playing Affairs (UCBSA).
  • Visits of Overseas Teams - The Councils teams / players are given the opportunity to match their talents with overseas visitors in programmes scheduled during the Season by the Council regularly,tems from Australia,Bangladesh,England,India, Pakistan,Sri Lanka etc., visit Dubai.
  • Catering arrangements are available to teams/players at the Council's complex in the Season
